Growing Chili Peppers
May 13, 2009
Many chili plants survived the winter. I adopted different solutions for them, and I'm trying to figure which is the best.
I left the Pasilla Bajio outside all winter long. It had some unripe pods, and once removed them, it started to bloom. Now it has a lot of small pods.
Peter Pepper stayed out too, pruned at the base, but it's not blooming yet.
Aji Blanco Cristal, pruned at the base too, it's already blooming.
The Black Prince was pruned at the base and put in the cold greenhouse during winter. Now it has new black and green leaves.
I took Numex Suave Orange in cold greenhouse, but without pruning it. Aphides infested it and I had to use an insecticide.
Now it's blooming.
