Recipe: Tuna sandwiches with nigella and Thai basil

During summer I love fresh and light meals, and this sandwiches were so tasty that I prepared them many times this month.

Tuna sandwiches with nigella and Thai basil


Ingredients
Makes two sandwiches:
4 sandwiches bread slices
80g tuna oil
4 tbsp white yogurth
6-8 thai basil leaves
6-7 chives leaves
1 cup baby lettuce
1 tbsp nigella (or kalonji) seeds

Sandwich 1: yogurthDirections
Toast the bread slices on one side, so that the inside will remain soft.
Spread the yogurth on the inside (or mayonaise or tartar sauce for a stronger taste).


Sandwich 2: tuna and herbsStuff with some tuna, and garnish with thai basil and chives.


Sandwich 3: lettuce and nigellaPut as many baby lettuce (or other salad) that you can.
Sprinkle some nigella seeds on the other side.

Close and enjoy!

I know exactly what you mean - in the summer, I love a light meal like a sandwich, or even a bowl of cold cereal!

I am used to tuna salad sandwiches where the tuna is mixed with mayonnaise and seasonings and then used in a sandwich. What a fresh alternative, to add everything to the sandwich separately. I love it!
