Recipe: Fried sage

Appetizers with aromatic herbs

SageSage was one of my first aromatic herbs, when I had only four or five pots of them. Every year, when it's time to harvest it, I prepare this crunchy appetizer.

Fried sage

Fried sage

30-40 sage leaves
1 handful white flour
frying oil

Sift flour into a bowl and gradually stir milk into flour. Stir the mixture until it has a smooth consistency.
Stem the sage leaves, wash and dry.
Place the leaves in the batter one by one and fry them a few at a time on both sides until golden brown.
Serve immediately.
